New adoption information line launches

A new adoption information line 0300 222 0022 which aims to be the first stop for people considering adoption has been launched today.

Called First4Adoption, the information service is the new national gateway for adoption, and is being run by Coram, Coram Children’s Legal Centre and Adoption UK.

The service will give information to to help potential adopters navigate the process.

Carol Homden, Chief Executive of Coram, which is among the charities running First4Adoption, said:

“We want to ensure that everyone who thinks they may be up for the special and rewarding challenge of becoming an adoptive parent has access to clear information about the adoption process. “So whether you have a question about your own suitability as an adoptive parent, or simply want to know where to begin, you can give our friendly trained advisors a call on 0300 222 0022.”
