Description
In 2014 Cambridgeshire County Council entered into a partnership where Coram to provide the Adoption Service– Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption. After 5 years, the Adoption Service transitioned to the local authority whilst maintaining the same approach and service for families.
We encourage all potential adopters to contact us, particularly those who could adopt children over 5, sibling groups, children with additional needs or children from mixed heritage backgrounds and those interested in early Permanence and we will support throughout their adoption journey from assessment, to placement and beyond.
We have a dedicated Adoption Support team who have a range of support available – including parenting skills’ training for adopters, Support Groups for adoptive, Support Groups for adoptive parents, mentalisation-based treatment for families and accessing a wide range of therapeutic interventions from families.
