Description
St. Francis’ Children’s Society (SFCS) is an independent adoption agency and children’s charity based in Milton Keynes. We welcome all kinds of adopters for all kinds of children, regardless of age, race, cultural background, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
If you adopt with SFCS, you will build a close working relationship with one of our friendly and experienced social workers, who will guide you through the assessment process. You will also receive exceptional training and parenting preparation.
Our adoptive families are offered a wide range of support services, both before and after they are approved. Our adopters and their children have access to a range of one-to-one consultations, training, workshops, a ‘buddying’ scheme and various family social events. Our purpose-built Family Centre provides the perfect space for these activities to take place.
We hold two adoption information events each month. These events are hosted by knowledgeable staff and experienced adopters who offer advice, share their experiences and answer your questions. Visit https://www.sfcs.org.uk/find-out-more-at-an-adoption-event for details.
SFCS is especially committed to finding families for children who are deemed ‘hard to place’ – including children over the age of four, sibling groups, children with disabilities or additional special needs and children from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
Visit www.sfcs.org.uk to find out more about adopting with SFCS, or email enquiries@sfcs.org.uk – we’ll be delighted to help you.
