Description
Adopt Coast to Coast is a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) in the North East of England. The partnership brings together Durham County Council and Together for Children which delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council.
The partnership was formed so the three local authorities could more readily work together to speed up the adoption process for the children and babies in their care, and to make the process quicker for prospective adopters.
By combining the expertise of the three dedicated teams, Adopt Coast to Coast can provide even greater support for, and be more responsive to adopted children and their families; helping them to feel secure and supported both in the run up to adoption and once a new family is formed.
