Description

Adopt Thames Valley is a regional adoption agency (RAA) which is a partnership of seven local authorities (Bracknell Forest, Oxfordshire, Reading, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Swindon, West Berkshire and Wokingham) and three voluntary adoption agencies (PACT, Barnardo’s and Cornerstone). We work together to recruit and support a range of adoptive families, finding families for children both locally and nationally.

By joining forces and working as a regional agency we are able to share expertise and resources. Our social workers are experienced professionals who work closely together to prevent delay for both adopters and children in finding the best possible matches. We work from three offices in:

Oxford – 4440 Nash Court, John Smith Drive, Oxford Business Park South, Oxford, Oxfordshire,
OX4 2RU
Woodley, near Reading – 1st Floor Woodley Airfield Youth & Community Centre,
Hurricane Way,
Woodley, Berkshire, RG5 4UX
Swindon – Lyndhurst Centre,
Lyndhurst Crescent, Swindon, SN3 2RU

Adopt Thames Valley offers a warm welcome to all prospective adopters and we are actively recruiting families for children of all ages. To meet the needs of children within our local authorities, we particularly need adopters for sibling groups, older children (over 4), children with additional needs and children of black and minority ethnic heritage. These children often wait longer for a family and our aim is to reduce the time they wait.

We look forward to hearing from potential adopters living within the Adopt Thames Valley region and surrounding areas. Please give us a call on 0800 731 0171 or visit our website to find out more www.adoptthamesvalley.co.uk
