Meet the LGBT Adopters

This is a special one off event organised to celebrate National LGBT Fostering and Adoption Week 2018. This event gives prospective adopters the opportunity to come along and hear directly from approved LGBT adopters about their experience of assessment, approval, matching and life as parents.

This is not an adoption information meeting and you will not hear from social workers about the assessment and approval process, the eligibility criteria or about the children currently waiting. You may still want to attend an adoption information meeting if you are serious about adopting, after this event to hear more.

But, this special meeting is priceless, it will offer you insight from the experts – the adopters. You will hear from a panel of adopters from all walks of life and have the opportunity to ask them questions. A selection of social workers from Merton and Sutton will be available afterwards for 5 minute one-to-one meetings.
