New children’s minister named

Yorkshire MP Robert Goodwill has been appointed Children’s Minister in the government’s post election cabinet reshuffle.

The former MEP and government whip has been the Conservative Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby since 2005 and formerly served as the Minister of State for Immigration. He replaces Edward Timpson who was children’s minister from 2012-17.
